Design, develop and support production 24x7 Oracle 9i, 10g & 11g databases in various configurations. Implement database upgrades to Dev/QA/Production with various versions of oracle database environment and maintain them at current release levels. Design/implement Disaster Recovery systems with 10g/11g Data guard technologies with highly available/highly performance/high protection modes with LGWR Async log shipping. Conduct capacity planning analysis on production CLUSTER's and standby databases such as oracle tablespace expansion for database future growth. Maintain QA/Dev/Staging environments for application/infrastructure projects and resolve issues on QA and Dev systems on databases during release process/bug fixes. Resolve configuration/performance issues on Real Application Cluster(RAC) such as monotonically increasing sequences on large Indexes/ Index Contention with Freelists/Freelist groups, Automatic Storage management System configuration/Tuning, Tuning Interconnect for Oracle database, RAC specific environmental setup, and Tuning I/O on Single Instance/RAC. Provide oracle database specific diagnostic logs and trace logs to analyze root causes for performance issues, data corruptions, backup/recovery solutions and 24x7 critical technical support. Design and implement database monitoring scripts with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Unix BASH, KSH, PERL and other SHELL scripting such as Clusterware Services monitoring, Database, Listener and Oracle Network, Backup Monitoring and also health Check monitoring script such as Memory, CPU IO and Network bottlenecks, DDL and DML and instance level locks and Latch contention, Enqueues and Waitevents, ITL issues; Work and fix issues such as Tablespace High Water Mark, Max datafiles limit, Listener logs, Top SQLs, Top Active Sessions, DML Locks/blocking sessions, Highly utilized Data Volumes, Oracle Home growth due to trace files, ORA errors, Invalid objects, Top performance wait events, Major Tuning DB parameter changes, database memory hit ratios tuning, CPU Load, Partition growth, Indexes utilization/tuning, Soft/Hard parsing, Undo and Temp segment’s growth and shrinks, ORA 600/7445/4031 errors on production database systems.
